End grain from locally sourced hardwoods
Simply one species boards or customize your board with inlays
White Oak End Grain with the Georgia Tech logo inlay-ed. The inlay is made using end grain Yellow heart, Wenge , and purple heart. To achieve end grain first boards are rip cut (feeding the material along the grain of the wood) then gluing the strips together. after the new "board" is dry the board is crosscut to the desired thickness needed. These pieces are then glued together with the end grain up to form the board. This is somewhat labor intensive but the results are spectacular.
I love to delight customers. Fulfilling commitments is job one. When creating cutting boards or anything else for that matter I use only the best raw materials, and processes to achieve the highest quaility I can. If you aren't remarkably delighted then I am not either.

My first recollection of wood as something to be used creatively was in 3rd grade art class. The teacher handed out pieces of plywood and the assignment was to glue an assortment of beans into any design we wished. I saw the grain pattern and used that as my design. The teacher was thrilled I had chosen that method as I was the only student to do so. Wood nerdom born! To this day I am fascinated with wood and its beauty, noticing the grain and how nature randomly creates these patterns.
